CALLOT Jacques (1592 - 1635) Le Combat à la barrière : Complete suite of 10 plates and 2 supernumerary engravings, Etching. Very nice proofs cut to the subject (L.576, 577,578, 585,586), or with margin fillets or small margins. Small losses on the edges, tiny accidents at L.577, 578, 583. Traces of marked creases to L.577, some old vertical creases to L.583, L.585 to slight thinning at irregular edges, small thinning to L. 586 finely lined. (Bound 575 II/III, 576, 577, 578 I/II, 579 to 582, 583 II/II, 584, 585, 586 I/II before the plate was split into 6 parts) Dimensions: 15,7 x 11cm. 14,9 x 22cm, 14,7 x 21,8cm, 15 x 24cm, 7 x 23,2cm, 15 x 35,6cm. According to the indications of the catalog of J.Lieure, the set represents the chariots of the festival and the room where the tournament took place, in the ducal palace in Nancy.
