Pair of silver candlesticks and their bobèches, the fluted shaft decorated with oak leaf garlands, the circular base with fluting, rais de coeur frieze and half-pearls, the spigot decorated with water leaves and intercalary florets, engraved with the coat of arms of the BROCH d'HOTELANS family and the coat of arms of a family of alliance stamped with a comtal crown (Or, a tree terraced Vert, on a chief Azure three mullets Argent). Paris, 1783, letter U Discharge hallmark for pieces going abroad Goldsmith: Jean-Louis MEUNAUST or MENAULT, received Master in 1760 The inside of the binnacles and bobèches are well hallmarked.
