The bike has 9 km on the odometer.
The bike on display was restored by our collector some twenty years ago and has not been ridden since.
It features a number of improvements, including a double-cam front brake and R 51RS aluminum cylinders.
It will need to be restarted before it can be used again.
Between 1938 and 1939, only 1669 bikes rolled off the production line. So this is a very rare motorcycle for sale.
In 1938, the 1st 66 appeared to replace the R17.
The stamped sheet metal frame was discontinued, and the tubular frame with a double cradle returned.
This displacement was chosen because it corresponds to the 2nd category reserved for sidecars in Germany, the 600s, the first being the 1000s.
