The bike is in very good condition, bought as is by our collector several years ago. It's an old restoration.
It will need to be restarted.
This is the wide-frame version of the early Featherberd models.
This model has a long history, beginning in 1927 and ending in 1963.
It had a 36-year career, with numerous modifications along the way, but always with the characteristic of being a 500, 4-stroke single-cylinder tumbler. It was considered the top-of-the-range model of the brand.
It's a 490cc, 25 hp at 5300 rpm, tumbled single-cylinder, separate BV4.
Available from 1928 to 1964, in 350 and 500 cc versions.
From 1959, it uses the famous wide Featherbed frame, followed in 1961 by the Featherbed Slimline with a narrower upper frame section.
