This rare MV Magni has been in the collection since 1982 and has always been meticulously maintained.
It runs perfectly and is, above all, in perfect original condition. It has not been repainted or damaged. Only one side housing has been replaced.
The front calipers have been replaced by a set from Brembo for better braking, but the original calipers will be supplied.
It's not easy enough to find an MV Magni, but an unrestored original model is an opportunity not to be missed.
From 1952 to 1973, MV Agusta won 37 world championships, including 16 500cc titles in 18 years.
The company made helicopters for a living, and beautiful red racing motorcycles for fun. So when MV produced sport touring motorcycles, the few that were made could rely on its racing experience for each one.
In 1959, the motorcycle manufacturer patented a revolutionary new lubrication system, which enabled Agusta to grant a 100,000 km warranty on its bikes.
The styling, purely Italian, was as breathtaking as the bike's lines and performance, even if the price was too. At a time when Honda's CB750 cost $2,190, the MV cost three times that - $6,500 retail.
Producing road versions of the factory race bikes, poor sales figures and Domenico's passion for motorcycle racing drove the empire to ruin. However, two Americans named GARVILLE and COTHERMANN launched production of the "750 S America". As a new edition of the "750 S", it was to draw more inspiration from racing machines and increase sales in the USA in order to avert the financial crisis.
Arturo MAGNI began working for MV Agusta in 1950, after being offered the position of head of the famous MV Racing department.
Arturo stayed with MV as long as they continued to race and was directly responsible for the racing success of some of the world's biggest names; Giacomo AGOSTINI, Carlo UBBIALI , Tarquinio PROVINI, John SURTEES, Mike HAILWOOD, Phil READ, Gianfranco BONERAIR, and more.
