MOTO MORINI - Lot 36
MOTO MORINI Motorcycles Corsaro Racing (square cylinder head) 125 cc 4-stroke vertical single-cylinder 1939 Engine number : E43231 In very good condition with period quality preparation. A restart will be necessary. In Italy, after the Second World War, a growing number of small manufacturers embarked on the two-wheeled adventure. Alfonso MORINI of Bologna was one of them in 1956 with a 125 2t. In 1959, the Corsaro appeared, an overhead-valve 125. Equipped with a simple yet effective chassis, it performed equally well on road and track. In France, importer Gabriel COUTURIER offered a customer competition kit for this model, enabling it to reach speeds of 150/160 km/h, much to the delight of amateur racers. In 1959, it won the "125 national sport" category in the hands of HERANZ. The Corsaro's career continued until 1975. The model presented here is the latest S version, with square cylinder head and bv 5. It is fitted with Akront rims, aluminum remote controls, Dellorto carburetor, polyester body kit, Veglia rev counter and Marzzochi shock absorbers.
