Bruno SPAGGIARI, born January 11, 1933 in Reggio Emilia, is a former Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer. His best year came in 1960, when he finished 4th in the 125 World Championship on an MV Agusta.
He rode for MV Agusta, Benelli and, above all, Ducati.
After making a name for himself with Gitane motorcycles, SPAGGIARI was spotted by Ducati in 1955 following his first victory on the Cosenza circuit.
The following year, he became an official Ducati rider and scored several victories.
In 1958, he won the Italian 125 title on a Ducati, as well as the 1st and only Grand Prix des Nations at Monza. He won the Italian 125 title again in 1964 on a Ducati, and came close to victory at Imola in 1972 and 1973, finishing second each time on a Ducati 750.
In 1975, he retired to open a car dealership and prepare racing motorcycles, while remaining involved with a Ducati team.
