MOTOBI Moto Catria 175 cc Horizontal single-cylinder 4-stroke 1964 Registration number 451353 French collector's registration The bike is in very good original condition, unrestored with its paintwork. It has 640 km on the odometer. It will need to be restarted. After starting out as a 2-stroke, Guiseppe BENELLI moved into 4-strokes in 1956. To capitalize on his recent excellent brand image, he kept the same superb ovoid shape for his engines, making it difficult to distinguish at first glance between the 2-stroke twin and the 4-stroke single-cylinder. The chassis, too, is identical, with an original pressed-plate beam frame. The Catria continued its career until Motobi was reintegrated into the Benelli fold in 1962. Engineer Pierro Prampolini's engine was even used in a Motobi scooter in 1961. In 1964, Motobi made a sport version of the DS to BV4 for the Junior National Championship, which claimed a good 180 km/h with an impressive 24 HP at 10,000 rpm. Nicknamed the "Power Egg
