Chirvan Kouba rug Wool warp, weft and pile) The rug is embellished with numerous small elongated polychrome medallions, extended by two small pendants on a red background. A border of small red and ivory medallions with geometric floral motifs surrounds the composition. Indeed, it is a vast, mountainous region inhabited by a heterogeneous population. It stretches from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea, forming a natural barrier between Europe and Asia. Chirvan carpets are knotted in cities (Kuba, Dagestan) and villages (Tchi tchi, seikour, Pérépédil...).
