Cabinet in ebony and veneer inlaid with fillets and bone pla - Lot 249
Cabinet in ebony and veneer inlaid with fillets and bone plates, opening in the center with two doors surrounded by twelve drawers and topped by a balustrade, and with two drawers in the lower part. They reveal a small theater with three mirror-darkened niches, adorned with three bas-relief statuettes representing Venus and Love, Flora and Pomona holding a cornucopia, the uprights in ringed gilded wood columns. The ceiling is painted in the Neo-Gothic style. Rich ornamentation in bronze and repoussé brass decorated with fire pots, foliage and flower scrolls, horns of plenty, draperies and fruit falls.
