References: The counterpart of this drawing is in the Prints and Drawings Department of the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, under number HZ26344. Another academic study dated 1819, but without provenance, is preserved there under dimension HZ26345. A counterpart study, entitled "Nude Standing Man Holding Two Bars", dated 1817 and from the same Benno Moser collection, is currently in the Prints and Drawings Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. A third, later academic drawing, dated 1819 and without provenance, is also preserved in Vienna.
