Duke of Bourbon. &. of / Louise Françoise de Bourbon : born on 15 / September 1705: died April 15, 1765. / without having been married. / Painted by Albrier " Stencilled marks of the Louis Philippe collection and the Château d'Eu Bears an inventory number in the upper left corner 338 Provenance: Louis Philippe d'Orléans collection, Château d'Eu. Bibliography: Indicator of the gallery of portraits, paintings and busts that make up the king's collection at the Château d'Eu, Paris, 1836, n° 338 (painted after a portrait which is in the Royal museum). Painter of history and genre scenes, Joseph Albrier painted many portraits for the Museum of History of France in Versailles. Our painting is a remake of the portrait of Pierre Gobert, enlarged under Louis Philippe (canvas, 138 x 114 cm, Musée du Château de Versailles).
